BlogFam, oh how I have missed you but you know that in this space we do our very best to flow in the Spirit. I have learned to be still and let God have God's own way. So, yes, I had to cut the Benediction Series shorter than I had planned and I believe that, as in all transitions in life, there had to be a clear separation between those posts and those that will follow on the days, weeks, and months to come. Perhaps, we too often rush into our next assignment without taking the time to reflect and regroup so that we can truly enter our next assignment with our very best selves. BlogFam, many of you know me personally and many of you are getting to know me through my writing. So, I will not prolong the suspense or delay the answers to your questions about my own next assignment. For as I said goodbye just eight months ago, today I say HELLO! (CHECK OUT THE BLOGPOST SAYING GOODBYE) BlogFam, I am writing this blog post from a NEW place spiritually and physically. I will begin with the latter. Just a few weeks ago, the Lord saw fit for me to enlarge my territory by opening an AMAZING opportunity in full time ministry in Memphis, TN! AND before you frown or dismiss the city for whatever you might think about it, let me just say this: When the Lord enlarges YOUR territory, do not cut the favor of the Lord upon your own life because of any negative thoughts you might have in comparison to where you are. In other words, I have had to be very clear with some of the saints that my move to Memphis, TN from the energy and excitement of the city of Atlanta, GA was a GOD choice. My friends, in other words, do NOT allow people to speak negatively about the place where GOD is sending you. For YOU, this is a NEW place FULL of PROMISE, POSSIBILITY, POTENTIAL, and PURPOSE!!! So you walk on into your NEW place... AND "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a NEW thing! NOW it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." AND I was very clear that with my new assignment in this new location, there would be those whose opinions would not be solicited or considered and if they were offered, my BEST answer to them was and is... THIS IS THE LORD'S DOING AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN MY EYES!!! My new physical location was precipitated by my new place spiritually. I do not advise anyone to make any major moves without FIRST seeking the Lord in prayer AND fasting. When you are sensing or seeking a change in your life to take you out of your current situation or to help you to better handle your current situation, then you MUST PRAY and FAST. You must not shortchange your devotional life in these critical times. You must not neglect your praise and worship during this time. You must continue to do those things, ALL things that please the Lord so that whenever the Lord speaks to you, however the Lord chooses to do so, you will be in a position to hear whatever the Lord has to say to you. And when the Lord speaks, his words will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I'm a witness!!!!! And I am so clear that in this next assignment at the MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH in MEMPHIS, TN, I am being called to... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a NEW thing! NOW it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." So BlogFam, this is a NEW day and while I am excited about this next assignment in this NEW place, don't lock me in here because you just never know where the Lord will send Delesslyn as she strives to love and please the Lord FIRST and with her all!!!
