BlogFam, I have survived many transitions throughout my life but there is simply nothing like a church transition. Now at this point, many of you are wondering the direction my "ponderings" [lol] will go. And to be honest with you there are a few I could explore based on my own personal experience. I am not at all ashamed of any of the experiences I have lived through. Honestly, I thank God that I had the courage to take every leap of faith from one church door to the next. Actually, as I write, the thought that comes to mind is of all the displaced and misplaced and replaced and complacent.... people in all of the local churches that make up the Body of Christ. I am so grateful to God for the FREEDOM I have in Christ to explore God glorifying expressions in so many different ways and I reckon that this graceful exploration will continue until Jesus returns. When I hear the ramblings / testimonies or witness the frustrations /joys of my sisters and brothers in Christ, I have come to the place on my journey where I simply encourage all to seek the peace of God. I cannot tell you where to go or how long to stay but I know ONE person who can tell you exactly the place you should be. God. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding. When you/we lean to your/our own understanding, we will find ourselves out of place every time.
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you already know that I am in the midst of transition. I am leaving one church and going to another church to serve in full time ministry. If you would have asked me ten years ago if I would be serving any local church in any capacity of full time ministry, I would have given you a strong I DO NOT KNOW. It was such a distant dream that I carried in my heart long before my years in seminary. It was a distant dream that so many boldly told me was impossible. It was a distant dream that broke my heart at the very thought because some of the people who were closest to me mocked the very thought.... BUT GOD!
YES! The God of my dreams and the ONE who orders my steps every waking moment has predestined my life to be surrendered to serve His Church. I am NOT ashamed of this glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ that calls and commissions me to serve in spaces that He chooses to create just for me. And I will serve in those places for as long as the Lord says until it's time to go.
And the Lord has called me to GO...again.
Next summer I would have served TEN years in full time ministry and as I reflect on my own career and call to ministry, I am so very grateful to serve the churches God has sent me to and I have NO regrets because every lesson, friendship, increase, heartache, heartbreak, and headache has been the Lord's doing for whatever the Lord's reasons are and it is ALL marvelous in my eyes for it has ALL worked together for my good.
And all I can say is THANK YOU LORD and THANK YOU to every pastor who has encouraged and supported my ministry starting with the one who baptized me.... my daddy, BISHOP VERNON KENNEBREW. All others, you already know who you are and if you have to guess, I'm probably not referring to you.
And to those of you, (especially to women in every facet of ministry) who have felt that deep impression to serve the Lord's church, GO! GO YE THEREFORE and trust the Lord to order your every step and watch the Lord make every divine dream become a reality!
I'm a witness!!!
GOD LOVES YOU AND I DO TOO!
Blessings, Glory, and Sunshine!

#ONEWord - DEATH
2 Kings 20: 1-6
In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”
2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, 3 “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him: 5 “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord. 6 I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.’”
Let me just say this upfront... NOBODY likes to talk about death! And I have mulled over doing so in this blog post. BUT I do feel like a reflection on this passage would be incomplete if I did not address the King's motivation for pleading for his life. DEATH.
DEATH is not always the most pleasant of conversations but that is exactly the word that Hezekiah heard about his own life from the prophet Isaiah.
The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”
WOW! What A Word! In a day, when we are thinking positive and speaking life, to hear DEATH as the final answer is totally contrary to what we want to happen in our lives. And although we ALL know that DEATH is the fate of all of our lives one day, we do not want to talk about it today....UNLESS we just have to. Though, even then, we are more apt to talk about the DEATH of someone else and not our own.
Yet in this passage, the Lord's word to the King through the prophet, is DEATH. He is not referring to the death of an enemy or a close relative. He is being told of his own death AND now he has to deal with it.
So, let's deal with it.
What about it?
What about yours?
I am not being prophetic in that I am not declaring the coming to the end of your own life. But we all know that DEATH is part of the circle of life and one day, DEATH will be our destiny. So, in what ways are you making the MOST of your own LIFE NOW?
I cannot imagine hearing or even reciting those words....
You/I am going to die.
You/I will not recover.
Those are the words the Prophet told the King and I will be honest with you when I tell you that I am not comfortable thinking about DEATH EXCEPT for the hope that I have for LIFE after death with God forever.
But to think about what I have to go through to get to forever, DEATH, this is not a usual topic of conversation for me or for anyone that might read this blog post. However, I guess, on today, we are being pushed to truly think about this #ONEWord - DEATH. We are being challenged to think about what our end might look like. More importantly, I think we are being challenged to think about what kind of LIFE we are living in advance of this inevitable step to forever.
PLEASE BE CLEAR - Though the Lord, did honor Hezekiah's request to extend his life, Hezekiah still had to face DEATH on another day, even if it was years down the road. AND also, BE CLEAR that the Lord's honoring of the King's prayer was in large part based on the LIFE the King had lived in advance of this declaration.
BlogFam, DEATH is a part of the circle of life and it is a step towards forever and it is coming for you and me and everybody else. BUT my question is this - How are you living your life NOW? AND if the pronouncement of death came to you and you prayed to the Lord to extend your life, what would you ask the Lord to REMEMBER about your life as you are living it right now?
DEATH is coming one day. And that day may be a day of sadness, tears, joy, laughter, reflection, appreciation, grief and relief. That day could be the best and the worst day for someone. DEATH means different things for different people. But no matter what you think about it or when you think it will come or how it will happen for you, ONE DAY, we/you/I will die and not recover.
So, how are you living your life right NOW?
GOD LOVES YOU and I DO TOO!

Today is a Brand NEW Day: My Birthday Reflection #bloggingontheGO Copy and Paste Link to LISTEN NOW... http://cinch.fm/spiritedconcept/550526 Revelation 21:1-5 GREETINGS!!! BlogFam, On yesterday, August 10th, I celebrated another birthday! And I do not know how you feel about your birthdays but to me, and I expect to my immediate family, my birthday is a National holiday which I anticipate will be remembered and honored accordingly! Some of you may not make a big deal about your date of birth and some of you could care less if anyone, family or friends, would tell you Happy Birthday, but that is NOT my testimony! Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to celebrate the date I was born. Ever since I was a little girl, my parents have made it a big deal that my birth, and the birth of my siblings thereafter, was a blessing to them. I grew up having birthday parties and receiving gifts and their joy about my life has greatly influenced the joy I have about my own life and gratefulness for the day I was born. And this year was no different. OK. So I did not have a party with invited guests, party hats, balloons, or loads of gifts or cards. I actually took full advantage of technology and appreciated every well wish I received via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram AND I bought my own gifts. I had a web party with loads of Birthday songs of all kinds and everybody connected to me online was invited. I also received phone calls and texts from many who are near and dear to my heart. Furthermore, a new friend organized and treated me to dinner with two other new sister friends. I had a GREAT day! I told a few friends and I posted on Facebook as well as tweeted that I truly believe that God knows how much I love to celebrate this day and He made it so very sweet for me on yesterday! While I was at dinner with a few new friends, one sista asked me.... So, Delesslyn, what do you want to do differently this year? What do you want to do that is new? Very interesting questions at this juncture in my life and I quickly answered them. As many of you know from previous posts, I have gone through a few major transitions since my last birthday so I welcomed her questions. I said.... EVERYTHING in my life is already different. EVERYTHING IS NEW! This is my truth in this season. BlogFam, every year that I celebrate the date of my birth is significant and so very special to me but this year is different because everything is so new. I am in a new state, new city, new address, new job, new friends, new opportunities... EVERYTHING IS NEW! We do not get very many moments like this in our lives. It is a rare gift to be in a position when the Lord makes ALL things new in your life here on earth. We may get new things here and there. We may have new opportunities here and there. We might meet new people here and there but to have EVERYTHING in your life to be brand new at once is rare in this life and I can truly say that I am tremendously blessed for having such a testimony.... and just around my birthday! :-) Friends, in the Book of The Revelation, John has a vision of a time in the future of the universe and all of creation, heaven and earth, when ALL things will be made NEW... Revelation 21:1-5 NIV Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." BlogFam, YES these words are trustworthy and true, God IS making everything new!!! And though we cannot yet see what shall be, our GOD who transcends all time past, present, and future, has already completed that which we have yet to see and experience as NEW. In this life, we toil with all those things seen and unseen that would make us tire of the same old things. In this life, we live our lives looking for something new, something different, something better than this...whatever your this is and today we are reminded and encouraged by the truth that GOD'S WORDS ARE TRUSTWORTHY AND TRUE.... GOD IS MAKING ALL THINGS NEW!!! And I just happen to believe that we do not have to wait until heaven to begin to see and experience divine newness in our lives. As the old or the former things pass away in your life as you know it, please know that this must happen so that you may always walk in the newness of God's light and love. My sisters and brothers do not be alarmed or afraid when anyone or anything in your life is no more. This is the only way that we can begin to see and experience what it means to live in the now of GOD. To live in the now of GOD means that there will be some thing's in our lives that must come to an end. Everything and everyone will NOT be a carryover from the last season. Such is life in the NOW OF GOD!!! In this life, GOD is able to make all things new and different and now. This is where I am. This is where we are. This is where GOD will always be....new and different and now. And unless and until you surrender your vision of what you think new looks like, the former will be your now and that which our GOD desires for you to pass through and come to an end in your life will be suspended in your present until such time you allow the Alpha and Omega to be your beginning AND your end in this life. God has heaven covered and set and in order. Heaven already is..... BUT our God, in the process of making all things new... now... wants us to embrace that which seems so far removed from us in time and space...now. And as we release our hold onto people, places, and things that are destined to be former people, places, and things in our lives, we become privileged recipients of what God has already made new....right now!!! So, LET GO!!! LET GOD!!! And walk in the prophetic now of what already is in God. For what GOD is making new, already is...now. Embrace it!!! Celebrate it!!! Walk in it!!! And live the amazing and abundant life you were created to live but very few actually see and experience because they refuse to accept God's word as trustworthy and true for them and because they refuse to let the former people, places, and things remain in their rightful position as passed away. Today is a Brand NEW Day!!! #bloggingonthegobclaptopdead Copy & Paste Link to LISTEN NOW: http://cinch.fm/spiritedconcept/540756 Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a NEW thing! NOW it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." GREETINGS!!! BlogFam, oh how I have missed you but you know that in this space we do our very best to flow in the Spirit. I have learned to be still and let God have God's own way. So, yes, I had to cut the Benediction Series shorter than I had planned and I believe that, as in all transitions in life, there had to be a clear separation between those posts and those that will follow on the days, weeks, and months to come. Perhaps, we too often rush into our next assignment without taking the time to reflect and regroup so that we can truly enter our next assignment with our very best selves. BlogFam, many of you know me personally and many of you are getting to know me through my writing. So, I will not prolong the suspense or delay the answers to your questions about my own next assignment. For as I said goodbye just eight months ago, today I say HELLO! (CHECK OUT THE BLOGPOST SAYING GOODBYE) BlogFam, I am writing this blog post from a NEW place spiritually and physically. I will begin with the latter. Just a few weeks ago, the Lord saw fit for me to enlarge my territory by opening an AMAZING opportunity in full time ministry in Memphis, TN! AND before you frown or dismiss the city for whatever you might think about it, let me just say this: When the Lord enlarges YOUR territory, do not cut the favor of the Lord upon your own life because of any negative thoughts you might have in comparison to where you are. In other words, I have had to be very clear with some of the saints that my move to Memphis, TN from the energy and excitement of the city of Atlanta, GA was a GOD choice. My friends, in other words, do NOT allow people to speak negatively about the place where GOD is sending you. For YOU, this is a NEW place FULL of PROMISE, POSSIBILITY, POTENTIAL, and PURPOSE!!! So you walk on into your NEW place... AND "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a NEW thing! NOW it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." AND I was very clear that with my new assignment in this new location, there would be those whose opinions would not be solicited or considered and if they were offered, my BEST answer to them was and is... THIS IS THE LORD'S DOING AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN MY EYES!!! My new physical location was precipitated by my new place spiritually. I do not advise anyone to make any major moves without FIRST seeking the Lord in prayer AND fasting. When you are sensing or seeking a change in your life to take you out of your current situation or to help you to better handle your current situation, then you MUST PRAY and FAST. You must not shortchange your devotional life in these critical times. You must not neglect your praise and worship during this time. You must continue to do those things, ALL things that please the Lord so that whenever the Lord speaks to you, however the Lord chooses to do so, you will be in a position to hear whatever the Lord has to say to you. And when the Lord speaks, his words will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I'm a witness!!!!! And I am so clear that in this next assignment at the MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH in MEMPHIS, TN, I am being called to... "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a NEW thing! NOW it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." So BlogFam, this is a NEW day and while I am excited about this next assignment in this NEW place, don't lock me in here because you just never know where the Lord will send Delesslyn as she strives to love and please the Lord FIRST and with her all!!! LORD, HERE I AM. SEND ME. Is this your hearts prayer? GOD LOVES YOU AND I DO TOO!!! Blessings, Delesslyn FOLLOW @AudraSunshine & @SpiritedConcept P.S.- NEW SERIES WILL BEGIN TOMORROW... We will focus on the Parable of the Good Samaritan... I am soooo excited!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Missing Link to YOUR Joy & Peace #BloggingontheGO Romans 15:13 NIV May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Greetings! BlogFam, There is a reason why you are moping and restless devoid of joy and longing for peace. Its not all in your mind. Its not all somebody else's fault. And its not just because x, y, or z happened to you. Its time for a moment of deep reflection because your joy and peace are fruits of the Holy Spirit that should abound regardless of your situations or circumstances. Your joy and your peace grow out of your soul's connection to the divine and if you are feeling as if your joy and your peace are nonexistent or at least waning, then perhaps today is a great day to just check your connection to the divine. For as you TRUST in God, the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace. This is what we read on today. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. So, my friends, how is your connection? Seriously, do you have joy unspeakable and a peace that surpasses all understanding? Or has this time in your life felt like the complete opposite of what Paul prays for the church in this verse? If you are struggling in this area of your life, you are not alone! And I do not mean to belittle your feelings or to say anything to keep you in that head space. I do want to encourage you by saying that there are other brothers and sisters whose connection to the divine seems to be out of range. You are not the only one who may be feeling out of sync in prayer, praise, worship, or fellowship. You are not the only one; but more than the reality that there are others in our BlogFam, in your small group, at your church, and other places who are experiencing similar feelings, there is a solution. There is hope from the God of all hope that this too shall pass and you can pass over, pass through, without passing out over this. The God of hope, possibility, revival, and renewal will indeed fill you with all joy and peace AS YOU TRUST IN GOD. Friends, God is available and willing to help you through this and pull you out of this. You are not alone because our God loves you and is present with you and if you choose to trust God, I also pray.... May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. And because of your connection to the God of hope you will also overflow with hope. Wow! Have you ever thought about what it means to live your life overflowing with hope? Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had and that everything will turn out for the best. BlogFam, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you can OVERFLOW with hope. You can be filled with all joy and peace and overflow with hope. You can be the one who is positive, optimistic, passionate, and inspiring. You can be the one who is the bright light in a gloomy crowd. You can be the one who dispels the negative energy and declare that YES the glass is half full! BlogFam, TRUST IN GOD! Your trust in the most reliable source of good and perfect gifts is indeed the key to your joy, your peace, and your hope. So if the supply of these gifts within you is fading or nearly undetectable or just gone, then check your connection! And TRUST IN GOD!!! May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. God LOVES You and I Do Too!!! Wholly Preserved Ps. 121:7-8 #BloggingontheGO Psalm 121:7-8 KJV The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Greetings! BlogFam, Today's blog is just a quick reminder to you that YOU ARE COVERED! Our God loves you so much that God chooses to protect and preserve you in every way. Every part of your life is covered by God and there is nothing about your life that can remain untouched by God. Now you might choose to walk beyond the parameters of Gods protection and you might choose to forfeit Gods preservation of your mind, body, and soul through disobedience but as long as your heart is guided by the Holy Spirit and the Lord's will is the ruling authority over your life.... you are covered! Friends, I know that you are fully aware of many of the benefits of a life surrendered to the Lord our God and one of those miraculous promises /benefits is the protection and preservation of our whole lives. This protection and preservation is from dangers seen and unseen, heard and unheard, physical and spiritual. This promise goes so far beyond your physical, tangible, and material reality. As indicated by the verses for today, it actually begins with the fortifyng of the depth of your soul and then extends to the areas of your life you can perceive with your five senses. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy SOUL. BlogFam, this is the kind of protection/preservation that Paul refers to when he admonishes believers to put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:11-12 KJV Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. This kind of protection/preservation is the priority of the Lord our God. You cannot purchase a house alarm loud enough or a watch dog fierce enough or a deadbolt strong enough to provide the protection /preservation you need for your soul. This kind of protection is divine and impenetrable by all of those things you cannot see. And whether you realize it or not, appreciate it or not, understand it or not, YOU ARE COVERED! You are covered BlogFam! This is the promise of our Creator to each of us individually and collectively. And the protection and preservation of our souls, that eternal essence and core of our being, is paramount priority of the holy one. A level of security that we cannot provide for ourselves. We might take some precautionary measures in order to guard our souls but ultimately... Psalm 121:7 KJV The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. AND the body in which our soul resides is secondarily given the same benefit today and every tomorrow thereafter. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Friends, TO GOD BE THE GLORY! We are wholly preserved by the Almighty! Inside and out, outside and in, we are covered!!! You do not have to guess about it. You do not need to inspect it. You do not have to trimble because of it. Wherever you are and wherever you go, your mind, body, and soul can and will be under the divine protection and righteous preservation of the Lord who is able to keep you wholly from this time forth, and even forevermore! Lord, we thank you for your keeping power. We thank you that you love us so much that you will protect and preserve every part of us especially the parts of ourselves with which you are most intimately acquainted. We look to you to keep us from all evil - thoughts, ideas, people, places, and things. Protect us and preserve us along our journey for your glory... we are covered... IN JESUS NAME... AMEN. Getting to Know God... Getting to Know All about God #BloggingontheGO 2 Peter 1:1-4 MSG I, Simon Peter, am a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ. I write this to you whose experience with God is as life-changing as ours, all due to our God's straight dealing and the intervention of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you many times over as you deepen in your experience with God and Jesus, our Master. Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust. Greetings! BlogFam, if there is any one relationship that you must prioritize in every season, at every stage, in every transition, with every opportunity, through all adversity, you must prioritize your relationship with God through Jesus Christ. You will meet a lot of people. You will leave a lot of people. You will carry some people with you. And in order to know who to meet, leave, or carry, you must be hearing from God. I know that this sounds like an elementary admonition but as elementary as it may be, too many of us take God's presence for granted when we see that God's purposes and promises are being fulfilled in our lives. Yes it is true. We somehow tend to disregard some of the most basic spiritual practices when we see the light at the end of the tunnel, when we see that the Lord has not left or forsaken us, when we see that all things are definitely working together for our good. We have a tendency, in those significant moments, to push out prayer, sit out of Bible Study, forego fasting, and walk away from worship when we are clearly walking in favor. Unfortunately, too often we begin to do the opposite or at least the intensity and passion with which we sought God before the windows of heaven were open begins to fade fast. And on today, you are being forewarned! You do not get a pass to excuse you from doing everything you know to do that is right and righteous, good and godly, healthy and holy. You are not excused because things are going well. You are not excused because of your present success. You are not excused because you think you have already done enough of that "churchy stuff" to last you until the next bump in the road. BlogFam, you knew God on yesterday and in what used to be but things have changed, you have changed and its high time that you diligently pursue getting to know all about God in this new season of your life. When Peter pens this letter, he is an old man, a seasoned saint, he has more years behind than he has ahead YET he has not lost his fervor, his passion, or his zeal for the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even in his old age, he is getting to know God and encouraging those who read his letter to do the same. I, Simon Peter, am a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ. I write this to you whose experience with God is as life-changing as ours, all due to our God's straight dealing and the intervention of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Peter identifies himself and then he jumps directly into the purpose of his letter. He is clearly addressing those who say they know God, those who can appreciate God's willingness to be known, those whose life experiences have revealed the presence and the character of God and God's Son, Jesus. He continues.... Grace and peace to you many times over as you deepen in your experience with God and Jesus, our Master. Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! Peter exhorts the recipients of this letter to grace and peace and godly living. Though he is seeing hints of the sun setting on his life, he does not alleviate the responsibility of those in a life changing relationship with God from daily accepting God's invitation to a personal and intimate relationship. Saying YES to this holy invitation...this is what pleases God. AND... We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust. Peter essentially reminds us of the rewards of accepting God's invitation. When we say YES, we also are given certain promises and privileges. Furthermore, when we say YES to God, we are turning our back and closing our ears to the beck and call of a world corrupted by lust. When we say YES to God, we are also saying NO to every option that is not in line with a life of God. In other words, just because you said YES one time does not mean you will not have to say YES again and again and again and again. BlogFam, as you move on, say goodbye, prepare to transition, or accept your current position, your previous life experiences with God are clues to how God will keep you in the future and reminders that you must continue to say YES to even the most basic acts of service and sacrifice in order to keep getting to know God. You cannot afford to get comfortable with fulfilling the desires of your flesh or satisfying the priorities of this corrupt world. You must continue to accept God's invitation to a personal and intimate relationship with you as you have in the past, as you need to do right now, and as you will have to do in the future. BlogFam, today I pray that you will have a personal revival so that you can get to know God in a fresh way. I pray that grace and peace and godly living would be yours richly. I pray that you would have no regrets about declining the world's corrupt way of being and doing. I pray that your YES to God and Christ would be filled with joy. I pray that you would never get tired of getting to know God, of getting to know all about God in a personal and intimate way. I pray that the promises and privileges of being in a loving relationship with God would not tarry but will come quickly and overflow in your life..... IN JESUS NAME.... God loves you and I do too!!! When It's NOT Your Turn To Move... #BloggingontheGO Romans 15:5-6 NIV May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Greetings! BlogFam, for the last month or so I have been writing about transition, changing, moving on, and saying goodbye. However, I do realize that there are some of you who feel somewhat disconnected from the conversation simply because it is not your turn to move. You are excited about the shifts in the lives of your friends. You are not jealous. You want to see them do well. However you are not moving yourself. You are not moving because perhaps you are awaiting that final word of confirmation or perhaps you are resolutely clear that you are already exactly where you need to be and until your assignment is complete in that place and with those people, you are being still. Today, my friends, will you indulge me and allow this word to minister to those whose assignment is to be still? PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! Moving On is not all that some of those around you have made it appear to be... especially for those who are moving out of order, out of turn, out of line, out of the timing of God. And those who are moving need the support and love and patience of those who remain still. It is not a dishonorable position for one to remain... particularly if you know that this is where the Lord would have you to serve at this juncture. If you are choosing to remain stable, still, set in the place where God has you in a season that is not yet over, then KEEP STANDING!!! Your prayerful presence is a testimony of our text on today... Romans 15:5-6 NIV May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words... BlogFam, your stability in the midst of the movement of those around you is a witness that God is able to help you to endure whatever you face right where you are as well as encourage you, uplift you, strengthen you, and give you the peace of mind to remain. Just because there is movement around you and seemingly without you, check again. Look in the mirror. Go back to your prayer closet. Get in tune with the Holy Spirit. The movement in your life may not be the kind that warrants a going away celebration or a moving truck or a new place to live, work, or play. God moves us in so many ways including ways that keep us exactly in the same space and place where we have been. And your ability to just be still in obedience to the One who set you there in the first place has been God's creative way to bless those around you who have no idea where they will land when all their moving halts. And since God has already given you endurance and encouragement, you are now being summoned in this hour to share the same with those who are moving around. It may not be your turn to move but it is your time to remain as a stabilizing presence by the power of God that looks with compassion upon those whose life is shifting for good....or for bad. It is your witness to them about the keeping power of God that will bring the shifting and the standing together so that with one mind and one voice you all may together glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. My friends, do not dismiss this season of stillness and stability and stick-to-it-ness as a time that you are being left out or forgotten or weak. No! If you are in a place where peace reigns in your heart and you know you were set in this particular situation for a reason, a divine purpose and all apart of God's miraculous plan, BE STILL. IT IS NOT YOUR TURN TO MOVE! It is your turn to be a witness to all who are moving all around you. It is your turn to allow our God to show them through your life that God will help you to endure, to hold out, to keep pressing on. It is your turn to speak words of life and encouragement to remind them that God truly is in the mix of it all. It is your turn to remember the times you have moved in your own life and to be a resource, a companion, a prayer warrior, and a friend in the same spirit that you once received. It may not be your turn to move but it is your turn to just be still in the mind of Christ and... May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ready or Not... God is NOW!!! #bloggingontheGO Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Greetings! BlogFam, contrary to your personal assumptions about this stiletto wearing sista, I do own a pair of tennis. Now I will admit to you that the two pair of tennis that I do own no longer comfortably support my feet because they are in need of support due to my overuse of said shoes over the last do not ask how many years. LOL! I laugh myself because having a decent pair of tennis is just not that high on my list of priorities. Well, actually, a tennis update was not a priority not until more recently when my feet started bothering me after my walking exercises. And BlogFam there is nothing like walking or running or standing still when your dogs are barking! For those of us who are able to use our feet as a means to get us from point A to point B, each step you take on that journey with feet that are hurting can be a painstakingly aggravating, frustrating, attitude adjusting, and face contorting process. All you need is a seat, a foot rub, a slower pace, or just a brand new pair of shoes. Whether you or those with whom you stand or move, are ready or not, something has got to give because ready or not your feet need attention, relief, and some peace. If you are paying attention to your feet, there are some shoes based on previous experience with those shoes, you knew before you put them on the kind of experience you would have. This pain comes as no surprise when your toes start to curl, or those shoes are conspicuously released from your feet for quick seconds at a time . You are not surprised. You knew this would be the case by virtue of this shoe. Some shoes do surprise you like my tennis did as I was walking around the track. In my mind, tennis are not supposed to hurt. But whether or not you anticipate the shift in your comfort level and whether or not you are in a position to relieve your feet of their misery immediately, I do know this: The anxiety that arises in that moment is akin to the restlessness we feel when God says NOW. When God says NOW we get uncomfortable. We look for a place to sit down. We might even keep on walking towards our destiny in spite of the pain. And we just may want to relieve ourselves of that next assignment like an ill fitting pair of shoes that might look good or were made for a decent purpose, because none of that is working now. Yet NOW is the time and ready or not, God is moving, working, answering, fixing, healing, and doing WHATEVER God needs to do to Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Friends, when God says NOW, you are already prepared, groomed, fixed, and ready for the task at hand. When God says NOW, it is time for your prayers to shift to agree with where God already is. And whether you have asked for this particular assignment or not, no longer matters. If our God has seen fit to bring you to this place or to allow these circumstances to be where you find yourself, ready or not, GOD IS NOW. God is the same God of yesterday and will be the same God of tomorrow yet it is wonderful to celebrate and rely upon the God of today, the present, the right now. BlogFam, YOU ARE READY!!! And you know that you are ready and even if you think that you are not, GOD IS NOW! Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. AND I also pray that just like your hurting feet, whether or not you anticipated the shift in your comfort level and whether or not you desire or are even in a position to relieve yourself of what this new move may bring, I do know this: when God says NOW, NEXT, NEW, ready or not, it is time for YOU to say YES. Amen.

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ with sincerity. Ephesians 6:24 Greetings! BlogFam, Did you know that there are people in this world who are not in a loving relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ? YES there are men and women who have heard the Gospel message and walked away. There are men and women who have heard the Gospel message and have chosen to reject the free gift of salvation for more reasons than I could possibly name in the space and time allotted for my blog. And I want to say to those of us who espouse Christianity as our lens through which we see the world, those of us who believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins at Calvary, those of us who are looking for the Second Coming where we will meet the Lord in the air, I want say to US, (I include myself because I am one of those redeemed saints of the Most High)...... I want to say to US, Can you blame them? Lets think about this for a brief moment. For whether or not they have heard and rejected the Gospel after a sermon, a concert, a church camp, an individual one on one witnessing conversation, the fact remains that OUR hypocrisy is one of the leading reasons why they say they refuse the Gospel because what they hear from US and what they see about US is two different things. Our words and our lifestyles just do not add up. Our proclamation of the power of God to change our lives is contradictory to how we walk and talk everyday! So can you really blame them? I know you may not want to think about this reality. I know it actually blows your mind to think that you just might actually be the reason why someone you know or maybe even a stranger dismissed the love of God through Jesus. I know most of you have never even cared enough to consider the truth that your witness is really not that tight! It is faithless, flimsy, funny, and fake. The truth is that I believe that there are so many more people who would say YES if we practiced what we preach and were mindful about the lessons that we teach by the lives we choose to live. Our Scripture for today is the closing of Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus: Ephesians 6:24 KJV Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in SINCERITY. Amen. We thrive on Gods grace and we relish the unfailing love of God toward us but when it comes to allowing that same grace and love to flow between and amongst those in the body of Christ, those who are a part of the household of faith, the sisters and brothers who have acknowledged, believed, and confessed, the flow gets stopped up, choked up, backed up, and caught up by all the wrong thoughts, attitudes, actions, doubts, worries, hatred, jealousy, ambition, gossip, and un-forgiven wounds inflicted by others. We make it hard-er for those who keep their YES to themselves particularly because of all the reasons I have named and for reasons that have not been mentioned, WE PROVE THAT WE ARE NOT SINCERE. Ephesians 6:24 KJV Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in SINCERITY. Amen. Sincerity is FREEDOM FROM DECEIT, HYPOCRISY, or DUPLICITY. So, BlogFam, think about your personal witness. Is your witness, your lifestyle, your thoughts, attitudes, and actions FREE from deceit, hypocrisy, or duplicity? Could it be that as you evaluate all aspects of your own life that YOU could be one of the reasons why somebody or anybody, familiar or unfamiliar, friend or foe, family member or church member, neighbor or co-worker has not said YES? Ephesians 6:24 KJV Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. My sistas and brothas, I am praying today for those who are not in a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus. I am praying today for the conviction of hearts in those of us who do believe but have been careless in our witness and lifestyle. I pray that WE would be conduits of God's grace and love and that our witness to this world would be sincere. I love you BlogFam and I pray that you are not the reason why there is one less YES.
