When It's NOT Your Turn To Move...
#BloggingontheGO
Romans 15:5-6 NIV
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Greetings!
BlogFam, for the last month or so I have been writing about transition, changing, moving on, and saying goodbye. However, I do realize that there are some of you who feel somewhat disconnected from the conversation simply because it is not your turn to move. You are excited about the shifts in the lives of your friends. You are not jealous. You want to see them do well. However you are not moving yourself. You are not moving because perhaps you are awaiting that final word of confirmation or perhaps you are resolutely clear that you are already exactly where you need to be and until your assignment is complete in that place and with those people, you are being still. Today, my friends, will you indulge me and allow this word to minister to those whose assignment is to be still? PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! Moving On is not all that some of those around you have made it appear to be... especially for those who are moving out of order, out of turn, out of line, out of the timing of God. And those who are moving need the support and love and patience of those who remain still. It is not a dishonorable position for one to remain... particularly if you know that this is where the Lord would have you to serve at this juncture.
If you are choosing to remain stable, still, set in the place where God has you in a season that is not yet over, then KEEP STANDING!!! Your prayerful presence is a testimony of our text on today...
Romans 15:5-6 NIV
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In other words... BlogFam, your stability in the midst of the movement of those around you is a witness that God is able to help you to endure whatever you face right where you are as well as encourage you, uplift you, strengthen you, and give you the peace of mind to remain. Just because there is movement around you and seemingly without you, check again. Look in the mirror. Go back to your prayer closet. Get in tune with the Holy Spirit. The movement in your life may not be the kind that warrants a going away celebration or a moving truck or a new place to live, work, or play. God moves us in so many ways including ways that keep us exactly in the same space and place where we have been. And your ability to just be still in obedience to the One who set you there in the first place has been God's creative way to bless those around you who have no idea where they will land when all their moving halts. And since God has already given you endurance and encouragement, you are now being summoned in this hour to share the same with those who are moving around. It may not be your turn to move but it is your time to remain as a stabilizing presence by the power of God that looks with compassion upon those whose life is shifting for good....or for bad. It is your witness to them about the keeping power of God that will bring the shifting and the standing together so that with one mind and one voice you all may together glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. My friends, do not dismiss this season of stillness and stability and stick-to-it-ness as a time that you are being left out or forgotten or weak. No! If you are in a place where peace reigns in your heart and you know you were set in this particular situation for a reason, a divine purpose and all apart of God's miraculous plan, BE STILL. IT IS NOT YOUR TURN TO MOVE! It is your turn to be a witness to all who are moving all around you. It is your turn to allow our God to show them through your life that God will help you to endure, to hold out, to keep pressing on. It is your turn to speak words of life and encouragement to remind them that God truly is in the mix of it all. It is your turn to remember the times you have moved in your own life and to be a resource, a companion, a prayer warrior, and a friend in the same spirit that you once received. It may not be your turn to move but it is your turn to just be still in the mind of Christ and...
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
God Loves You and I Do Too!!!

On the Eighth Day: Key Assurances When Moving On

On the Eighth Day: Key Assurances When Moving On INTRODUCTION Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, I must admit, I thought that yesterday was the end of our
Moving On Series, but you know me, I am open.
I have to be. And obviously, we
need to linger in that space for just a moment longer. Over the last few days, I have heard different
versions of this one particular passage of scripture and each time, I was
moved. I was particularly moved when one
young lady read it from the Common English Bible, a version I had never heard
or read before. I wanted to share it
with you on today as a form of introduction to Part Two of our Moving On Series:
On the Eighth Day: Key Assurances When Moving On. Friends, apparently, we have not yet
completed our conversation in this area and in obedience to the Spirit, we will
linger until... Our scriptural passage
is Psalm 91, specifically, the Common English Bible version of Psalm 91. Please read this passage in its entirety and
I look forward to how our journey will continue to unfold! Psalm 91 Living in the Most High’s shelter, camping in the Almighty’s shade, I say to the Lord, “You are my refuge, my stronghold! You are my God—the one I trust!” God will save you from the hunter’s trap and from deadly sickness. God will protect you with his pinions; you’ll find refuge under his wings. His faithfulness is a protective shield. Don’t be afraid of terrors at night, arrows that fly in daylight, or sickness that prowls in the dark, destruction that ravages at noontime. Even if one thousand people fall dead next to you, ten thousand right beside you— it won’t happen to you. Just look with your eyes, and you will see the wicked punished. Because you’ve made the Lord my refuge, the Most High, your place of residence— no evil will
happen to you; no disease will come close to
your tent. Because he will order his messengers to help you, to protect you wherever you go. They will carry you with their own hands so you don’t bruise your foot on a stone. You’ll march on top of lions and vipers; you’ll trample young lions and serpents underfoot. God says, “Because you are devoted to me, I’ll rescue you. I’ll protect you because you know my name. Whenever you cry out to me, I’ll answer. I’ll be with you in troubling times. I’ll save you and glorify you. I’ll fill you full with old age. I’ll show you my salvation.” Friends, our new series, On the Eighth day: Key Assurances When Moving On. THANK YOU for joining us as we walk through this passage over the
next few or more days. I believe that at this juncture, you are pretty sure that it is YOUR time to move on and now that you have surrendered to the assignment the Lord has given, you need a little extra blessed assurance that the Lord will not leave you hanging. Thus, I pray that this passage and Part 2 of our series
will speak life and assurance to each of us as we move forward and closer to
where the Lord has assigned for us to be.

ON THE EIGHTH DAY: SPIRITUAL KEYS TO MOVING ON… REVIEW! Romans 8

ON THE EIGHTH DAY:
SPIRITUAL KEYS TO MOVING ON… REVIEW! Romans 8 Click Logo to LISTEN NOW! Greetings! BlogFam, As we bring this series to a close, I just wanted to
compile the list of Spiritual Keys for us to review... Romans 8:1-2 - As you prepare to move on from whoever
or whatever to wherever your next step will take you, you inevitably must be
prepared to tell whoever or whatever you are leaving behind that IT is over and
IT no longer has a hold on you. Romans 8:3-4 - When it is time to move on, you must do
so empowered by the reality that what you are leaving behind is POWER-LESS to
destroy to disrupt, distract, and discontinue your journey toward your
pre-destined victory in Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 8:5-8 - As you prepare to move on, I pray that
you would take inventory of YOUR MIND. I
pray that you would ask our God to transform you by the renewing of YOUR MIND. YOUR mind is a terrible thing to waste! Romans 8:9-11 - When you are preparing to move on, there are
a few basic, non-negotiable and unavoidable details that you must know in order
to have a successful move. A few of
those details include, but are not at all limited to, the time you will move,
the date you will move, and the destination of your move. Romans 8:12–17 - When it is time to move on, we must be
convincingly clear with ourselves and with others about our primary obligation
and identification at this time of transition.
I pray that you would walk in the godly confidence that you are indeed a
CHILD OF GOD and that you would make it your highest priority to be led by the
Spirit of God! Romans 8:18 - When it is time to move on, there will be
brief moments along your journey forward when you will ask yourself is IT worth
it? In your current or at your next pit
stop, keep this verse in mind and while you are asking yourself a bunch of
questions, ask yourself this ONE question:
Do I consider that my present sufferings are not worth comparing with
the GLORY that WILL be revealed in me? The
answer is YES or NO. My sistas and brothas, do not let your pit stop be in
vain. Learn what you need to learn. Gain what you need to gain. Drop off what you need to drop off. And by all means, MOVE ON toward the glory of
God that will be revealed in you! Three Post Series within a Series – Romans 8:19 - 25 Romans 8:19 – The World is WAITING on YOU! Friends, when
it is time for you to move, the world will be watching to see and waiting to
hear your witness as one who moves on as a child of God. Romans 8:20-21 – The World is FRUSTRATED because of
YOU! When it is time to move, you will encounter frustration by those from whom
you are separating, but most especially by those to whom you will be
going. When it is time for you to move,
those to whom you are currently connected will experience the frustration of
having to adjust their lives void of your presence. when it is time to move on, the people of
your past, in particular those who are inconsequential to your future, can no
longer be given permission to dictate the details of this new season. Those who have been waiting, whether you know it or not,
are frustrated because they have been waiting on YOU to say YES, by faith. Do you not realize that YOU are the answer to
somebody’s prayers and when you delay the moves of God in your life because you
are scared or because your current relationships do not agree with your move or
because your lack of faith in God’s ability to do God’s work through you, that you,
are frustrating the hope of those whose change has been a long time
coming? Romans 8:22-25 – The world is GROANING because of YOU,
GOD! When it is time to move on, we must rely on the enduring hope that an even
greater move is to come and the move in this present day is preparing us for
that greater move that we will see one day.
And until that day, we wait patiently for it. We must wait on God to move and our hope lies
in the truth that God WILL move. But
until that day, HOLD YOUR HOPE, BlogFam, and wait patiently for it. The best, YOUR best, God’s best is yet to come… Romans 8:26-27 - When it is time to move on, you will have
moments when you will find yourself speechless and the Great Intercessor will
whisper words of life and love into your spirit and on your behalf at the
throne of God. In our weakness, there is a power that rests inside of us that
will proclaim good news, healing, deliverance, prosperity, peace, and power on
our behalf. Let us trust the Spirit to
pray in and through us now when we are strong but most especially when we become
weak somehow knowing that when we are weak, we are strong. For God’s grace is sufficient for YOU and
God’s power is made perfect in your weakness! Romans 8:28-30 - When it is time for you to move on,
God will work in all things for your good.
All things do work together for our good AND I also believe that God is
working good in all things on my behalf.
This is ALL about having faith that simply because you love God, God
will work in all things for your good.
Period. God has created YOU,
called YOU, justified YOU, and glorified YOU and YOU are the good thing that
our God is working good within and without.
AND in this next move, God’s goodness to us is working on our behalf in
the love that we now show to God first, to ourselves and to our neighbors. Romans 8:31 - When it is time for you to move on, there
are some conversations that must cease and certain conversation partners whose
season has come to an end. I have grown
to the place where there are certain conversations that will NOT happen on
topics that are not up for discussion and with people whose ideas and opinions
do not deserve my attention. Let GOD guide your every conversation and let
God determine the status of every conversation partner. God is for You but you must surrender your
will and your conversation to ONLY what God is for. YOU can do this! YOU are ready! It is YOUR time! Just keep your mouth in check and YOU will be
fine! Romans 8:32 - When it is time to move on, you must
never forget the ONE who has created you for this opportunity and created this
opportunity for you. Romans 3:33-34 - When it is time to move on, you will
not move forward without some opposition. Romans 8:35-39 - when it is time to move on, you must
walk in victory and in love. This concludes our - ON THE EIGHTH DAY:
SPIRITUAL KEYS TO MOVING ON… REVIEW! BlogFam, I am praying for you in this next move of God
in your life! I pray that these few
nuggets of wisdom will aid you in your journey in your Eighth Day. I pray that these keys have and/or will
unlock spiritual and practical truths that will aid you in your move. And I pray, that by all means, as you are led
by the Holy Spirit of God, that you will KEEP MOVING ON!!! Moving On in LOVE and VICTORY! - Romans 8:35-39
Posted on June 18, 2012 at 8:03 AM |
![]() |
Moving On in LOVE and VICTORY! Romans 8:35-39 Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it
is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No,
in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any
powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ
Jesus our Lord. Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you must walk in love and in victory! This move is a done
deal. Your move has been signed, sealed,
and though you are waiting for it to be delivered, you already know that you know
that you know that agreeing with the will of God for your life in this season
has brought about the peace of mind you need to wait for the manifestation of
your next move. For you already know
that if you are truly being led by the Spirit of God, you will be moving with
God whose love will never fail and whose victory has already been won! If you are being led by the Spirit of God,
you will be moving forward with and without certain people whose reason for
being in your life has been reconsidered and whose season has just come to an
end or has been revived or only just begun.
If you are being led by the Spirit of God, though you may hear the grief
and the gripes about your moving on, you have already been granted everything
you need to be a blessing in this new place and to silence, in your own special
way, those who would speak against this move. I cannot stress enough to you how important it is for
YOU to be totally surrendered to God at this juncture. I say this because, there will be people,
sometimes those who are closest to you, who will intentionally attempt to
convince you that you missed God this time!
I am a living witness that there are those who will boldly articulate
that your decision to move on is not one of your better decisions. They will often bully you by using God-Talk
to twist your prayerful confirmation into an ungodly possibility that is not
worthy of your consideration. They will
go as far as to challenge the substance of your faith simply because they
cannot see what you hope for and because God may have only given you a glimpse,
you cannot fully express or display the evidence that this is indeed the next right
step. Friends, I know how all of this
feels. And while it may seem and feel
like a lonely place to be, the scripture for today reminds us that we can expect
and anticipate to be loved and to be conquerors! It is a strategy of the enemy to attempt to separate us
or to make us feel as if we are separated from the love of Christ. And everything that happens AFTER you receive
the instruction to move, trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or
nakedness or danger or sword, are simply tactics of the enemy to convince you
that this move is not of God. The enemy is powerless to separate you from
the love of Christ BUT that does not mean the enemy will not do it’s best to
convince you otherwise. YOU must be
convinced and convicted that anything you endure as a good soldier, even to the
point of death, is for the sake of Christ who will use your life as a witness
of His grace and His glory – if you endure. Furthermore, this move in your life demands that your
mind be set to the channel of VICTORY.
YOU are already victorious for seeking God about moving and for deciding
to follow through with this move and you will continue to see your victory when
the move actually takes place. YOU are
MORE than a conqueror through Christ Jesus who loves YOU! Therefore, you do not need the affirmation or
the accolades of people, especially those who are not even seeking God
themselves for their next move, in order for you to be victorious. YOU already are! AND nothing the enemy can say or do can keep
you from being loved by the one who has already declared VICTORY over your life
in ALL things. My sistas and brothas, YOU are MOVING ON! YOU are LOVED! YOU are VICTORIOUS! AND NOTHING and NOBODY can ever take that
away! For
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any
powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ
Jesus our Lord. My Friends, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, IT IS SO… Delesslyn Twitter - @AudraSunshine; @SpiritedConcept Email - [email protected] If you enjoyed reading this blog post, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE on the left to get email updates,SHARE it with three people, COMMENT below, and click here to GIVE a donation of $5.00 or your best gift to keep it going! Don't Try Me! - Romans 8:33-34
Posted on June 17, 2012 at 8:08 AM |
![]() |
Don’t TRY Me! Romans 8:33-34 Who
will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who
justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ
Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of
God and is also interceding for us. Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you will not move
forward without some opposition. Now it
is possible for the opposition against this move to face you directly or to initiate
an attack upon those who support your move or those who have instigated this
move in order to attempt to delay or outright deny your progress. So whether you must deal with opposition
directly or indirectly, when it is time to move on, charges will be brought
against you and condemnation will be spoken over you. BUT if you are being led
of the Spirit, you have an advocate who is above all things and sees all things. So, do not worry. You WILL be justified. You will NOT be condemned. Friends, I am no stranger to opposition and more than
likely, neither are you. It is so
unfortunate that there would be those who would do whatever they can do within
their power to block your progress in life and in your service to the Kingdom of
God. It is sad but true that there are
some people who will do whatever they can to prevent your promotions, your
raises, your benefits, your blessings, your favor, your gifts, your vision,
your rewards, your brains and your beauty.
It is so ridiculous that there would be those who would do whatever they
can to attempt to keep you from being the recipient of all the GOOD that our
God has in store for you. So consider
yourself forewarned and it has been said, to be forewarned is to be forearmed! In other words, since you already know that
this is the case, prepare yourself in advance to face the opposition as you are
led by the Spirit of God. PLEASE BE CLEAR: The opposition that you are facing is
NOT unique to you or your situation. You
are not the only one and you are not the first or the last one to deal with
it. For as long as people allow the
enemy to work through their weaknesses, their jealousy, their egos, their sense
of entitlement, you WILL face opposition.
There are several reasons why people will oppose this next move of God
in your life. They do not understand
it. They do not like it. They just do not want to see you with it. They are not ready for it. They had another person in mind for it. They applied for it. They were prevented from it. And sometimes the bottom line is that - They
want it. Whatever this next move of God
is in your life, there are those who will oppose it, hate on it, be in conflict
with it, and will bring charges against it. Who
will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? Different people for different reasons, BUT it
is God who justifies. They will bring it
on. And when they do, those charges will
be dropped because God will justify your move. God will defend your move. God will uphold your move. God will declare you innocent in this move
and will absolve whatever guilt you had or felt as a result of this move. So, when the opposition rises, LET GOD BE
GOD! It is GOD who justifies. There will also be those who will take their opposition
of your move to another level. They will
not only bring charges but will actually attempt to declare a guilty verdict against
you. In other words, your opposition
will publicly and privately express unfavorable judgments upon you, indicate
their strong disapproval of you, pronounce you unfit for use or service, and
will be actively engaged in constructing suitable punishment for you. Your opposition does NOT like that you are
moving on. BE CLEAR. PLEASE BE CLEAR that there are some people
who do NOT want to see God moving in your life and they do not want to see your
life moving in God. AND so your response
to these attacks must be in line with the behavior becoming of one who is led
by the Spirit of God. Furthermore, the
Scripture declares that there is one who has stepped in and who will continue
to step in on our behalf. It is Jesus who DIED —more than that, who was RAISED to life
—Jesus is at the right hand of God and is also INTERCEDING for us. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. And to ANY one or ANY force that tries to oppose your
move in obedience to the Most High, you can boldly speak the word of the Lord:
DON’T TRY ME! OK. So that’s not exactly in the Bible but those words certainly
will make your opposition reconsider their next move against you and whether it
be to charge you or condemn you, you are already justified by God and your Savior has not missed one moment to intercede
for you at the throne of God! Who
will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who
justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ
Jesus who died —more than that, who was raised to life —is at the right hand of
God and is also interceding for us. YOU were createrd for THIS, THIS was created for YOU! - Romans 8:32
Posted on June 16, 2012 at 1:50 PM |

YOU were created for THIS, THIS was created for YOU Romans 8:32 He
who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also,
along with him, graciously give us all things? Click Logo to LISTEN NOW! Greetings! BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you must never
forget the ONE who has created you for this opportunity and created this
opportunity for you. I know that you
are probably thinking, well, DUH! Delesslyn, I know I am created by God and I
also believe that God set up this opportunity. And friends, I do think you know
at least that much; however, today, I want to remind you that having a great
appreciation for both of these truths is paramount. YOU were crested for THIS. Most of the time when we think about or use
this statement, we are already in the midst of the thing. But as you approach these new people, this new
place, this new thing, I want you to know that YOU were created for THIS. I really want you to think about everything
you have been through. Take a moment and
truly reflect on the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. Think about the lessons learned and the times
you were burned. Think about the
mistakes, the regrets, the successes, and the corrections. YOU were created for THIS. And your formation began in your mother’s
womb but LIFE has also formed you in ways such that this new opportunity craves
for all that YOU can offer to it. Now is
NOT the time to doubt God’s wisdom in setting before you His best. Now is NOT the time for you to turn your
back, you must believe more, now than ever, that you are indeed, on the right
track. Now is NOT the time to hide your
face, downplay your gifts, disguise your voice, or camouflage your
appearance. We have been waiting for
YOU. We have been praying for YOU. We have been preparing for YOU. YOU were created for THIS and now that IT is
here, YOU must walk into your new season by faith and with the Godly confidence
that: He
who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also,
along with him, graciously give us all things? This is YOUR moment! Seize YOUR moment! Secondly, this opportunity was created for YOU. There is a reason why this move could NOT
take place some time ago, a little while ago, or immediately. Do you not realize that there were some
people that had to move away, attitudes that needed to shift, ideas that needed
to change, and procedures that need to be done away with so that when you
arrived, it was at the right time? Do
not get distracted by how long it has taken or how quickly you must now move,
our God does ALL things well and this opportunity had to be formed for
you. This place, these people had to
undergo some adjustments so that you would fit into the place that our God had
before ordained just for YOU. And now
that YOU are ready, and the place is ready for YOU, YOU must walk into your new
season by faith and with the Godly confidence that: He
who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also,
along with him, graciously give us all things? BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you must never
forget the ONE who has created you for this opportunity and created this
opportunity for you. God is the ONE who
put all of this together. God is the ONE
who orchestrated all things – who, what, when, where, why, and how. God is the ONE who created YOU for this and
this for YOU. God did this not only for your
new job, your new school, your new husband or wife, or your new address. God did this for those things but more
importantly, God did this for your redemption.
God created YOU to LOVE you and God has created opportunities to show
God’s love for YOU - and through you. The greatest act of
love was done over two thousand years ago when: He
who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all. For
GOD so loved the world that GOD gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. [John 3:16] My sistas and brothas, GOD has set all things in order
for this next move in your life and all you have to do is believe God. God gave His very BEST so that your life would
be covered in love and in this moment, God is choosing to manifest God’s love
for you through this next move. This is
YOUR moment. YOU were created for this
and this was created for YOU. And since
God has already given God’s best in sending His one and only Son to die for us,
—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give
us ALL things? For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor;
NO GOOD THING does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. [Psalm 84:11, NIV] For
the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and
favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! NO GOOD THING
will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. [AMPL] BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you must never
forget the ONE who has created you for this opportunity and created this
opportunity for you. And NOW it is YOUR time! YOU were created for THIS, THIS was created for YOU... TGBTG! I Have Nothing MORE to Say! - Romans 8:31

I have nothing MORE to say! Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these
things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, when it is time for you to move on, there are
some conversations that must cease and certain conversation partners whose
season has come to an end. This is one area that I have been tested and tried in
over and over again. I have learned to
appreciate the reality that as I move forward toward fulfilling God’s purpose
for my life, I have to watch my mouth! And
not only do I have to watch my own mouth, but I also have to be mindful of the
mouths I allow into my space. I have grown
to the place where there are certain conversations that will NOT happen on
topics that are not up for discussion and with people whose ideas and opinions
do not deserve my attention. This is a
hard lesson to learn. It is not easy to
look yourself in the mirror or to hear the Spirit nudging you to JUST BE
QUIET! The instruction in James to STUDY
to BE QUIET is such an invaluable word of wisdom and instruction and so many
times we dismiss it. We do not want to
be quiet about certain things. We want
to tell people about the great moves of God in our lives! We want to testify about the miracles and
blessings that are flowing. We might
even want to solicit the saints for prayer, to touch and agree with us for
personal challenges we might be facing.
But let me be the one to inform or at least remind you that the TRUTH is
this: when it is time for you to move on, there are some conversations that
must cease and certain conversation partners whose season has come to an end. Friends, at the very beginning of this series, we read:
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. AND when you are making any positive changes
in your life, you will encounter condemnation in the form of insults, opinions,
criticisms, undermined attacks disguised as words of wisdom, and jealous rants
disguised as fervent prayer. Now some of
the words may sound positive, congratulatory, supportive, helpful, and affirming. But LISTENERS BEWARE!!! Do NOT get caught up in the accolades and the
pomp and circumstance that certain people lavish upon you because some of those
same people will turn to their neighbor and speak all manner of evil against
you. Do NOT get caught up in the rhetoric
of admiration or the speeches of congratulations because some of those same
people will launch a verbal attack against your future destination. Do NOT get caught up in hearing the
articulation of people singing your praises because those same people are
sometimes waiting for your quick descent from this point of elevation. My sistas and brothas, when it is time for
you to move on, there are some conversations that must cease and certain
conversation partners whose season has come to an end. Now everybody is NOT like this. There are some people who are genuinely
excited about this next move in your life but others, well, not so much. AND you know what, you do not need to feel
obligated to dignify their attempts to condemn or condone your move with a
response… What,
then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be
against us? What more do you NEED to say? What shall YOU say in response to the many
conversations you will have about this next move? Have you set the parameters around what you will and
will not discuss? Are there certain people that you have intentionally
excluded from this chapter in your life? Are there certain things that you will keep between you
and the Good Lord [and maybe your closest and most trustworthy inner circle]? These are questions upon which we must all reflect and
be clear about our own answers. AND
until you are clear and even once you do receive the clarity you need, this
holds TRUE: If God is for us, who can be against us? Friends, the best response to all
conversations that push you to your limits, invade your space, shut down your
dreams, steal your joy is GOD. In this
next move in your life, you must be ready to respond with a God-filled
answer. There are no exceptions. Your God-filled answer may demand your
silence or it may demand that you speak out your truth but whatever it is,
PLEASE be led by the Spirit and do NOT jeopardize God’s move in your life by
having conversations with people who could care less or who might vindictively care
too much about you or your business. BlogFam, YOU can do this! YOU are ready! It is YOUR time! And the words of others that contradict what
God has already ordained have come to steal, kill, and destroy your momentum,
your focus, your excitement, and your confidence. So YOU must be PRO-ACTIVE in PRE-determining
your response. For when it is time for you to move on, there are
some conversations that must cease and certain conversation partners whose
season has come to an end. AND If God is
for YOU, who can be against YOU? Let GOD
guide your every conversation and let God determine the status of every
conversation partner. God is for You but
you must surrender your will and your conversation to ONLY what God is
for. YOU can do this! YOU are ready! It is YOUR time! Just keep your mouth in check and YOU will be
fine! BlogFam, I have nothing more to say. PEACE. Godly GOOD for those who LOVE

Godly Good for those who LOVE Romans 8:28-30 28 And we know
that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have
been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also
predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also
called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also
glorified. Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, when it is time for you to move on, God will
work in all things for your good. I know
that we all look for signs and signals, hints and clues to confirm for us
whether or not it is time to move. We
talk to people, we read our bibles, we pray to God, we listen to the preacher,
and we pay attention, at times to the most inconsequential details when we want
the assurance that it is time for us to shift.
We just want to get it right. I
believe that, on some level, we all want to make the right decision about this
next move. And because most of us do not
see into the future in the most vivid details, if at all, we look for signs
that confirm for us that the direction we are going is congruent with the path
we were created to take. It is not that we do not necessarily trust the Lord
with all of our heart, but we really want to make sure that we are NOT leaning
unto our own understanding. This move is
such a leap of faith and after taking such a leap, we want to land in the place
where we are supposed to land. This is
one reason why I appreciate our scripture for today because I know that in my
own life, I have taken leaps of faith and I knew that I was supposed to take
the leap, when I was supposed to take the leap, how I was supposed to take the
leap BUT the place where I would land, was not always clear. There are moments when all I knew was that
the Spirit was leading me to take a leap of faith and to TRUST that I would
land exactly where God wanted me to be.
Friends, God works for the GOOD of those who love Him AND those who love
Him have already been called according to His purpose. It is at this point that
I want to suggest a different way of understanding this passage of scripture. It has often been quoted using the King James
Version of the Bible - And
we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to his purpose. The way this verse reads and the way we most often
apply this verse is to assure us that if we love God, everything that is going
on in our lives will at some point turn out for our good, work together for our good, in our favor. AND I have often stated it exactly this way myself; but
today, I want us to re-read this same verse from the New International Version. And
we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Friends, I have a new appreciation for this verse because I now
can see in the phrasing of this second version that it is not just that the things are
working together but that GOD is working in all things, on behalf of those who
love Him. Now I know you might say this
is a minor nuance but it is one to be noted because of how often we have
applied this verse using the King James Version. Friends, I do believe that all things do work
together for our good AND I also believe that God is working good in all things
on my behalf. Do you see this slight
difference? In other words, today, we
must rest assured that because God is working in every situation of our lives,
including this next move, IT will be good.
We will have a safe landing after we take our leap of faith. Furthermore, in both verses, we also see that this
promise is most relevant to those who LOVE GOD.
For it is when you love God that all things will work together and God
will work in all things for your good. The next two verses, verses 29-30, are possibly best
understood by reading them first and then re-reading verse 28. Let me explain. Before you get caught up in the theology of
predestination, which I will not give a thorough explanation of in this blog
post, just know that there is at least ONE thing that I believe that the
Creator intended for all of creation to do and that is: to
be conformed to the image of his Son. In
other words, God foreknew all of us because God created all of us in God’s image
and I believe that God predestined all people to live a life of love – loving God,
loving ourselves, and loving our neighbor.
This is not only the greatest commandment, but this is also our highest
purpose. We are predestined to love God. God predetermined and predisposed our hearts
to love Him first. To love God is the number
one priority of all of our lives AND God has and will call us, justify us, and
glorify us. However, the key to God
working good in all things on our behalf is that we love God first. So, (29) For
those God foreknew – those that God knew since the moment of conception - God
also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son – to love God with all
of their heart, soul, mind, and strength... (30) And those – all of
humanity – whom he predestined to love God first, he also called; those he
called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. (28) AND all of the good – creating us, calling us,
justifying us, glorifying us – that God works for our good is further
manifested by our loving God first. God’s
work is complete in our lives and when we love God first, Godly good is manifested
in tangible and intangible ways in our lives here on earth. BlogFam, when it is time for you to move on, God will
work in all things for your good. This
is not simply about the time, date, or place of your next move. This is not only about the people who will be
involved or who will be left behind in this next move. This is not even about the signs and signals
or the hints and clues that we all look for in order to confirm our next
move. This is ALL about having faith
that simply because you love God, God will work in all things for your
good. Period. God has created YOU, called YOU, justified
YOU, and glorified YOU and YOU are the good thing that our God is working good
in YOU, around YOU, for YOU, and in spite of YOU. AND in this next
move, God’s goodness to us is working on our behalf in the love that we now
show to God first, to ourselves and to our neighbors. When You Do NOT Know What to Say... Romans 8:26-27
Posted on June 13, 2012 at 9:55 AM |
![]() |
When I do NOT know what to Say… Romans 8:26-27 In
the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought
to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And
he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit
intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you will have
moments when you will find yourself speechless and the Great Intercessor will
whisper words of life and love into your spirit and on your behalf at the
throne of God. This is one of the
countless benefits of being a child of God, a son or a daughter of Zion, one
who is led by the spirit, and waiting on the redemption of their body. There are so many things we want to receive from
God. We want this and we want that. We think we need this or think we need
that. But when is the last time you
asked the Spirit to pray in you or through you?
When is the last time you asked the Holy Spirit to go to heaven on your
behalf? When is the last time you said
THANK YOU LORD for understanding our weakness and knowing that there would be
moments that would leave us speechless – moments when we do not know what we
ought to pray for, but the Spirit intercedes for us? The Spirit helps us in our weakness. And it does not matter what our weakness
is. This truth does not exclude any form
of spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, or intellectual weakness. There are no limits to the weaknesses that we
might experience and there are no limits to the help that the Spirit will give
us in those moments. For even as you prepare
to move on, you may have moments of weakness.
Moments when you doubt, question, proceed with caution in the direction
that the Lord has already confirmed for you to go. And in those moments, we have already received
as much advice as anyone can receive from others. We have already prayed the prayers we thought
would open heaven to pour out a blessed assurance that everything is going to
be alright. We have already testified
about it, named it and claimed it, and written our name on it. And yet, NOW, we do not know what to say. We are speechless. We are unsure of our godly confidence and we
need the Spirit, more than we will ever really know, to help us in our
weakness. Then there is a rumbling in our souls, an awakening of
a part of ourselves that has remained still until now. And the key to this movement now, is our weakness. When we have said and done ALL that we could
say or do. We must remember, as Paul
testifies in 1 Corinthians12:9-11: Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my
weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is
why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in
persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. My friends, God’s grace is sufficient for YOU and God’s
power is made perfect in your weakness! Thus,
when we surrender our weakness to God, the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us
will then speak for us, interceding for us in wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind
of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance
with the will of God. In other words, in
the midst of our weakness, we can experience some of our greatest
miracles. I do not know about you, but, BlogFam, I am excited to
know that the Spirit is so intimately acquainted with me that the Spirit can
pray for me when I do not know what to pray for myself. I am elated that when it feels like I am all
prayed out and am at the point of being tired of waiting, the Spirit inside of
me groans with such conviction begging heaven to save me from myself. I am ecstatic that my weakness does not rule
out my ability to cast my cares upon Him, because since he already cares for
them all, God allows the part of God’s self that lives within me to speak for
me. And when the Spirit speaks, it IS the will of God. It is the WILL of God that the Spirit
speaks. This is a phenomenal gift to all
of those who are led by the Spirit. For as
we prepare to walk into the next chapter of our lives, moving from one degree
of grace to another, we all need to be reminded that we are covered even in our
weakness. In our weakness, there is a
power that rests inside of us that will proclaim good news, healing,
deliverance, prosperity, peace, and power on our behalf. Those around us may speak about us and against
us to insult us or intimidate us because we are having a moment of weakness. BUT my friends, THIS TOO, SHALL PASS. And when those around us may take advantage
of our weakness, speaking words that will only benefit them; there is a life
force inside of us interceding on our behalf using words that they do not
understand, in sounds that confound the enemy to rescue the INNER-ME. And what the spirit speaks is life and peace,
love and joy and everything we need that will be in line with the will of the
Almighty. And so, BlogFam, when it is time to move on, you will
have moments when you will find yourself speechless and the Great Intercessor
will whisper words of life and love into your spirit and on your behalf at the
throne of God. So, let us trust the
Spirit to pray in and through us now when we are strong but most especially
when we become weak somehow knowing that when we are weak, we are strong. For God’s grace is sufficient for YOU and God’s
power is made perfect in your weakness! This
IS the will of God concerning YOU. This
is a wonderful miracle! The World is GROANING because of YOU, God!
Posted on June 12, 2012 at 11:21 AM |
![]() |
The World is GROANING because of YOU, God! Romans 8:22-25 We
know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth
right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves,
who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for
our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For
in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes
for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do
not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Click Logo to LISTEN NOW!!! Greetings! BlogFam, When it is time to move on, we must rely on
the enduring hope that an even greater move is to come and the move in this
present day is preparing us for that greater move that we will see one day. In other words, as one of my best friends
would say to an excited preacher rushing to a close, HOLD YOUR HOPE! The best, YOUR best, God’s best is yet to
come. Thus far, we have discussed the consequences of waiting
to move and the frustration that comes as a result of the wait; and on today,
the scripture has led us to the place of recognizing our intense desire for
something more, something greater, something beyond ourselves, something that
has not yet come to fruition. This
desire is so intense, so desperately yearned for, that We
know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth
right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves,
who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for
our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. To groan is to utter a deep, mournful sound expressive
of pain or grief. To groan is to make a deep, inarticulate sound
expressive of derision, disapproval, desire, etc. To groan is to be overburdened or overloaded. To groan is to suffer greatly or lamentably. We know that the whole creation has been GROANING as in
the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not
only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, GROAN
inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our
bodies. This is a serious moment because creation is waiting
for us and we, who are led by the Spirit of God, are waiting on God. EVERYBODY is waiting and we have moved beyond
our initial awareness that a move is necessary.
We have moved beyond the state where we are frustrated that a move has
not yet taken place. We have moved into
a deep, mournful state. We are all
groaning because we are ALL suffering greatly.
AND creation groans because they are desperate to be quickened by the
Spirit of the Living God, desperately searching for a move that will transform
their lives and bring them into a loving relationship with the Living God. Yet, because of creation’s rejection of the
invitation to be saved from sin, creation stresses and strains as a woman in
labor whose contractions signify that it is time for something to move but
whose pushing is to no avail. AND at the
same time, those who are in a loving relationship with the Holy One, who
believe in the promise of eternal life and a heaven with no more crying, are
overburdened by the reality that that day has not yet come. Our hearts have been redeemed but our bodies
are still here. AND EVERYBODY is
groaning because we are all longing for a move that will radically transform
life as we know it in this present day. My sistas and brothas, HOLD YOUR HOPE! For in this hope,
the HOPE that our bodies will be redeemed, we were saved. In this hope, as we hear the groanings of
those who need salvation and as we face the realities of our own life’s
circumstances, we are sustained. In this
hope, which is beyond the satisfaction that anything on this earth could give,
we are settled. But hope that is seen is
no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? Creation hopes for a move of salvation and
we, who are saved, hope for the redemption of our bodies. Our hopes have not yet been met by the move
of God, the Spirit’s knock on the door of that sinner’s heart or the eternal rest
from one’s earthly labor. We groan and
we hope for what we do not have. But
if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Friends, When it is time to move on, we must rely on
the enduring hope that an even greater move is to come and the move in this
present day is preparing us for that greater move that we will see one
day. And until that day, we wait
patiently for it. We may be
frustrated. We may groan. We may disapprove. We may feel overburdened or overloaded. But until God moves in our hearts and in our
lives or in the lives of those around us, we must WAIT patiently on God. We must wait on God to move. And there is NO move like when God moves in
us, around us, through us, in spite of us. We must wait on God to move and our hope lies in the truth that God WILL
move. I do not know how or when but God
will move. THIS is our hope. Our hope is that GOD WILL MOVE! God will move in the hearts of sinners to
compel them to be in a loving relationship with Him and one day, God will move
those who are led by the Spirit into the land of eternal rest. God will redeem our bodies and the waiting,
the frustration, the groaning of this present day, will rush to an end. But until that day, HOLD YOUR HOPE, BlogFam,
and wait patiently for it. The best,
YOUR best, God’s best is yet to come… Delesslyn Twitter - @AudraSunshine; @SpiritedConcept Email - [email protected] If you enjoyed reading this blog post, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE on the left to get email updates,SHARE it with three people, COMMENT below, and click here to GIVE a donation of $5.00 or your best gift to keep it going!
